CerealVeneta offers semifinished products derived from ancient grains such as buckwheat, spelled, quinoa, teff
In the last years different kind of so-called “ancient grains” have been proposed on the market, in very different food sectors such as bakery, pasta and snack. CerealVeneta works these raw materials (such as buckwheat, spelt, quinoa and teff) starting from the whole seed (or hulled), and thanks to its heat-treatment and milling plants, can offer a wide range of semifinished products.
Given the versatility and the peculiarity of these raw materials, CerealVeneta can process not only the whole seeds, but also their derivatives, based on the field of application and the claims (nutritional and organoleptic) searched:
- Heat treated buckwheat flour is processed both in the hulled version, characterized by a smooth and clean appearance, as well as in the whole version, with a high fiber content and characterized by a pleasant pitting that is clearly visible in the finished product, giving a “rustic” appearance.
- Whole spelt flour can be offered in native or heat treated version, also characterized by a pleasant pitting typical of whole grains.
- Quinoa and teff, not only known as ancient grains but also known as “superfoods” due to their nutritional qualities, are offered as toasted seeds as well as toasted flours.
These semifinished products, thanks to the plant engineering flexibility of CerealVeneta, can be “customized”, based on the specific request of the customer, and used in many sectors such as bakery, biscuits and snacks, pasta, meat substitutes, mixes. They can also be processed in blends with other ingredients, increasing their nutritional and organoleptic values.
